The 18th batch of the Youth Parliament Pakistan®, in partnership with TikTok,convened for its inaugural session in Islamabad, marking a pivotal moment in thedigital engagement of Pakistan’s youth. This session, held on December 02, 2023,featured around only primary members representing all constituencies of Pakistan,including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Overseas Pakistanis. Theday’s agenda included a series of activities aimed at fostering understanding &dialogue, including a panel discussion on ‘Countering Online Hate Speech &Promoting a Culture of Peace & Tolerance’, an orientation session, and a moderatedparliamentary style debate. Notable segments also included an oath-taking ceremony, a briefing on ‘How Parliament Works?’ and concluding remarks by the YPP Secretariat/PILDAT.
