Selection Process
Each applicant will be asked to write two small essays which will be used to evaluate the intellectual abilities and aptitude of the applicant. A possible short interview of short-listed candidates may be conducted in person and/or on skype/zoom by a panel. Evaluation of essays is also done by minimum 2 persons and an average score is taken for selection purposes. Participation in Past Activities of similar nature, social welfare, contribution to a national cause will also be considered as pluses for evaluation of a candidate. Alumni of prior Youth Parliaments may apply provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Selection Criteria:
The following selection criteria will be used to finalise selection of each member:
- You must be between 18 to 29 years of age as of February 24, 2023.
- You must be a Pakistani citizen or overseas Pakistani with a demonstrated interest and passion to learn.
- Your candidacy will be determined by the enthusiasm, past contributions towards a national cause, previous experience of social work and extracurricular activities as expressed in the EOI.
- The quality of original answers to the essay questions, which should be goal oriented, focused and free from plagiarism. In case of any plagiarised content, the EOI will be rejected.
Young Women, Religious Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, Transgenders and Young Pakistanis belonging to underprivileged areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
